Welcome to my blog, Reach for the Speech!

This site is meant for any future Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) out there. Reach for the Speech will offer tips and resources to help you get one step closer to becoming an SLP.

I write about my experiences to help students who want to become an SLP and hopefully interview the experts themselves (students and professionals). The process of speech therapy can definitely be tough because graduate school is pretty competitive. It can be hard to navigate and decide all the requirements needed from each school. Not to mention, how do you balance school and extracurriculars? You can expect tips, resources, and more. Of course, a sprinkle of linguistics too. Let’s reach there together!

I live in Vancouver, Canada. Some of my jobs have included a bike instructor, lifeguard/swimming instructor, Behavioural Interventionist, and Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. I LOVE being active, exploring, and learning new things (productivity hacks, dancing, languages).

Update: I am now officially a Speech-Language Pathologist!! I’m working at a private practice for my first job. It’s been amazing reflecting back on my journey and I hope this blog is helpful. 🙂
